Agroecology, agroforestry and agro-processing

The founders of Phytobôkaz, both being nature lovers, but also aware of the Green Gold revolution, created a concept for enhancing the biodiversity of the Overseas Territories, through the creation of an oilseed sector.

The exceptional chemical composition of some of these oils, as well as their properties which we have highlighted, suggests a very bright future in cosmetics, mechanics, and even health, in terms of applications.

Our approach consisted of imitating the functioning of the rainforest to design a sustainable agro-ecological system

and useful. Thus, we have recreated an entire interdependent ecosystem that lives on our alternating Galbas plantation,

We cultivate calabash, coconut, and avocado trees, as well as oilseeds that we have carefully selected. Bees, flies, other insects, bats, and humans all play a role at various stages of the process, from planting to the finished product: the oils. All of these plantations are pesticide-free and herbicide-free, and they use natural fertilizers to grow.

Our agroecology, agroforestry, and agro-processing unit, operational for twelve years now, suffered significant damage following Hurricane Maria. The fallen Galba trees will take between three and five years to regenerate. These challenges, linked to our climatic conditions, will allow us to rethink our farming methods and turn more than ever towards a symbiotic economy.
